Summer Holidays!
 The holidays are coming... And therefore we would like to inform you that during this year summer holidays we will have limited capacities in our offices in Berlin and Helmond.
From July 16th. to August 4th. (weeks 29-30-31) we will work with a small crew to process rush-orders for inks, clichés and spare parts.

Measuring is Knowing !
How to be sure that the transfer of the printing image from the cliché to your product is optimal? How to measure and adjust the exact position of the printing image towards your product?
Try our Test Clichés!
 The artwork example on the left shows a typical Grauel Test Cliché. By printing your products with this type of cliché, you can directly measure the position of the artwork towards the substrate. By using the vertical and horizontal rules you can easily determine the adjustment that you need. You can also check if the printhead is mounted perpendicular towards the product nests.
With the cyan full tone, and the black with white cross square, you can check if the amount of ink, being transferred from ductor roller to substrate, is too little or maybe too much.
Further the Grauel Eye, shows a halftone image. Please take a closer look by clicking on the eye with your mouse, can you find the gimmick?

- use Grauel ER Ink retarders
Spring was already warm, but summer will get hot! And we all know what this means.  In your production environment temperatures can easily get up to 30°C, or even more, and at this level thermosetting inks will dry on your rollers within minutes.
For all these sweaty situations we advice our ER ink-retarders:
1. ER - 9000 Retarder in spray bottle
2. V - 964 Retarder to mix through the ER-inks
3. ER - 462 Retarder gel to treat printing rollers

Adjustment Discs
- back to the basics
Depending on the type of artwork (fine lines or bold squares) that you are printing, you need more or maybe less printing pressure between cliché and the transfer or printing roller. This is done by adusting the eccentric bearings of the shafts. To find the original settings, with  absolute parallelity of the shafts, is a job that requires skills.
Grauel developed a handy tool to get you back to the basics: Adjustment Discs. The adjustment discs, made of hardened steel, have the exact measure, precise within 0,01 mm!. Contact us for more information.
