Grauel Continuous Motion!

The demand for high speed assembly and printing machines increases.  Especially for medical devices like syringes, pipettes or vials. Therefore  Grauel developed a modular machine concept that fits the modern day requirements:

On FAKUMA 2008, 14 - 18 October in Friedrichshafen,  Grauel will show one of it's continuous motion printing machines that prints 1 ml syringes @ 500 parts per minute.  For more information please call  +31 492 565 010 or E-mail.

Digital Surface Tension Measurement

The surface tension level of plastics is an important factor when it comes to ink-adhesion and ink distribution. Good adhesion can be achieved on plastics with a dyn level 42 and up. The higher the surface tension, the better the ink is transferred from the printing roller towards the substrate. The surface tensions of the printing inks, rollers or blankets play an important role.

A good way for a surface tension indication are the well known Grauel surface tension measuring fluids.  The fluids are available in small bottles, from 28 to 58 dyn.

For an exact, digital surface tension measurement, Grauel recently acquired a measuring device that first disposes a drop of water on  a substrate and than automatically measures the contact angle. The measuring data can be sorted digitally, for analysis.

Separate Ductor Chamber

To improve the cleaning access for the Grauel upright print heads, type RBA, Grauel developed a special ductor chamber that can be dismounted easily by loosening 4 screw only!

With this new option the complete ductor roller can be taken of  the print head for cleaning without ink falling down! Ideal for good cleaning.

The ductor roller unit is also equipped with the redesigned ductor bearings with lubricating nipple. The special Grauel lubricant has not only a lubrication purpose but a sealing purpose as well. Further an additional sealing scraper has been integrated against ink leackage. For more information please call  +31 492 565 010 or E-mail

5-Colour Print Head on Fakuma

On FAKUMA 2008 Grauel will show it's new 5-colour print head, type RSA/60-120-5F-BW360. The print head is developed for printing on medical packaging tubes. All ductors are driven by individual motors.

The ink chairs are equipped with ink stirs and the registering of the cliche can be adjusted in two directions per colour.
