Berlin Black
In our constant challenge to improve the coverage of our inks, Grauel developed a new UV ink series, called Berlin Black.
The Berlin Black ink is especially developed for printing on PP transparent materials often used in the manufacturing of syringes and pipettes. Please contact Kaj Nijboer for additional technical information or an ink sample: +49 30 34 99 37 -0.
High Speed Printing!
Recently Grauel increased it's printing speed for reel to reel printers and strap printers from 80 to 130 meters per minute! The machine is equipped with extra UV and pre-treatment power. For this configura- tion the axial drive of the oscillating roller was improved by using a hardened steel cam drum, mounted between the two side plates that translate the radial movement into an axial movement.
Grauel is also building a serie of high speed continuous motion printing and assembly machines for the medical and pharmaceutical market. These machines have an output of 250 - 500 parts per minute. For more information please call +31 492 565 010 or E-mail
The concentricity of a transfer roller may not exceed a few hundredth of a millimeter. Therefore all rubbber rollers are grinded very precisely at Grauel.
With respect to the transfer rollers with blankets, however, there is always an accumulation of tolerances of the body, underlayments and the blankets. Therefore tuning has to be done by the operator, using calibrated underlay sheets (e.g. thickness 0.02 mm. 0,05 mm) especiallymanufactured for the printing industry.
For this reason, Grauel developed a handy tool (see picture). The transfer roller can be put and turned on the shaft. With a dial gauge, mounted on a precision slide, the roundness can be measured. The tool is also equipped with a magnifying glass to examine the printing image when setting the print head.
Handy is also to use it with a fixed position for mounting a cliché on your magnetic cliché cylinder. For more information, please contact us.
Radial & axial cliché adjustment, for multiple colors
Especially for multi colorprint heads, Grauel recently developed a magnetic cliché roller that can be adjusted both in axial as in radial direction. This design was already available for rollers with a diameter of 120 mm and not on smaller diameters of 60 mm yet. It was our engineering challenge to design the adjustment mechanism, so that it fits into the small space available. For more information please call +31 492 565 010.
